“It’s not the loud moments that end democracies. It’s the quiet ones.”
The Reorganizing Government Act of 2025 may be the most dangerous bill you’ve never heard of. Alongside its companion, the No Rogue Rulings Act, it would grant sweeping powers to the president—letting them eliminate entire agencies and preventing courts from stopping unconstitutional actions. And it’s already moving through Congress.
These proposals have already made progress:
- H.R. 1295 passed the House Oversight Committee.
- H.R. 1526 passed the full House with a 219–213 vote.
Most Americans are completely unaware that these structural shifts are happening.

⚖️ Why This Should Scare You—No Matter Your Politics
Imagine this:
- The EPA? Gone with a presidential signature.
- Social Security enforcement? Gutted.
- A nationwide abortion ban, family separation policy, or sweeping AI surveillance order? Implemented immediately – because no court could block it across the country.
Sound extreme? It’s not.
Nationwide injunctions stopped Trump’s Muslim ban. They protected Dreamers. They blocked unconstitutional vaccine mandates. They’ve helped conservatives, too – halting executive actions by both parties. They’re a constitutional pressure valve.
But under H.R. 1526, that power gets muzzled.
And under H.R. 1295, the President gains new authority to dismantle agencies without public process, without bipartisan input, and with a fast-tracked up-or-down vote in Congress – no amendments allowed.
These are the mechanics of autocracy. And they’re dressed in procedural jargon.

🧢 I’m Not Running for Office. I’m Just a Guy Who’s Worked in the Trenches.
I’ve spent years working in political strategy and campaign operations here in Arizona—yes, that chaotic swirl of political contradiction we all know and love.
And I know what happens when people stop paying attention. I know what it’s like to knock on doors and hear voters say “both sides are the same” while extremist legislation sails through with surgical precision.
Elections have consequences.
And legislation like this? It’s the consequence of disengagement.
We get so focused on candidates that we forget to watch what those candidates do once they’re in power.
These bills are the result of that oversight.

🧱 This Is How Systems Get Dismantled
Here’s what makes these bills particularly dangerous:
- They’re structural. They don’t just change one policy; they change how all policy can be made—or unmade—in the future.
- They outlast administrations. A law like H.R. 1295 doesn’t just empower a Trump or a Biden. It empowers whoever comes next to erase decades of public infrastructure with a pen stroke.
- They move quietly. There’s no press conference. No Oval Office address. Just a vote, a signature, and the removal of a firewall.

⏳ This Isn’t About President Trump. It’s About the Future of Government Itself.
Even if you support the goals of a particular administration – ask yourself: Would I be comfortable with this power in the hands of the next one?
Because one day, it will be.
That’s why this isn’t a partisan post. It’s a constitutional one.
âś… What You Can Do – Now
- Call your Senators. Let them know you oppose H.R. 1295 and H.R. 1526. Loudly.
- Tell others. Most people don’t even know these bills exist. Share this post. Talk about it.
- Support civic watchdogs. Groups like Protect Democracy, Brennan Center, and the ACLU are on the front lines.
- Vote in 2026. Vote like it’s your government on the line – because it is.

🙌 Why I’m Speaking Up Now
I’ve spent my career organizing, advocating, and building campaigns to protect the democratic institutions we all depend on.
I’m now seeking new ways to put that experience to use – especially with organizations committed to defending democracy in every form.
If you’re doing that work, or want to connect about how we can amplify these issues together, I’d love to hear from you.
Because democracy doesn’t just need defenders during elections.
It needs them between the headlines, too.
